There is an opportunity to undertake the role of Community Governor at Woburn Lower School. The Governing Body is supported by an active group of Governors and a new member would be very welcomed by the team.
During the past few years Woburn Lower School has increased its numbers and build further on their Outstanding Ofsted report received in 2010/2011. The Governing Body are looking to continue that process.
The role would involve attending approximately 4 formal meetings a year and visits to the school from time to time.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in our small outstanding village school.
You will be working alongside a passionate and experienced class teacher, helping her deliver fun and engaging lessons. Our children are extremely well behaved and love learning in a very happy and caring environment. The class size is small.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and inspiring new Headteacher to lead our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Lower School.
The current head is retiring after seven years and we are seeking a successor who will build on the school’s existing high standards whilst bringing to the role their strong leadership expertise, skills, ideas and commitment to excellence.
Woburn Lower School is a small rural school situated in the picturesque Georgian village of Woburn, within the Duke of Bedfordshire’s country estate. The school is a Grade 1 listed Tudor building which houses 60 pupils.
Woburn Lower School has a well-deserved reputation, benefitting from a valued and motivated specialist teaching staff, enthusiastic pupils, supportive parents and committed Governing Board.
The school has achieved 100% in phonics for the last four out of five years and continues to significantly out-perform both the Local Authority (and National) in its English and Maths KS1 SATS results. The school is well resourced and subsequently provides a positive and enriching learning environment for all its pupils.

• Work collaboratively to formulate the aims and objectives of the school
