Owlets Nursery is led by Miss Taylor our Nursery Nurse and overseen by our Early Years Teacher Mrs Black. The children in Owlets Nursery can attend up to five mornings from 08:50am-12:00pm. There are 10 spaces available in the class each academic year. The children can attend from the academic year they are four.
In Nursery the children are provided with one piece of free fruit and a carton of milk each day. You will need to sing up for the milk online or using a form available from the office.
Our typical morning consists of child initiated learning and adult led activities that all of the children join in with.
We join the rest of the school for various celebration assemblies and sports day. We have an outdoor classroom which we have access to throughout the year and have lots of different resources and toys for the children to use and explore.
Owls Reception is led by Mrs Black our Early Years Teacher and Miss Taylor our Nursery Nurse works with Reception in the afternoons. The Reception class has 12 places available each academic year.
In Reception, the children are provided with one peice of free fruit and a carton of milk each day, however when your child turns 5 the milk is no longer free and will need to be paid for per term. In order for your child to have milk you will need to sign up for it online or use a form available from the office. Our typical day consists of child initiated learning, carpet sessions and adult led activities. We have a different topic each term, however we are flexible to the childrens interests. For example, recently we have been reading the book called 'Beegu' as the children have been very interested in aliens. We have lots of fun outside and we have access to an outdoor classroom that we have access to all year round.
Every Tuesday we have a French Teacher that visits called Madame Gylphe and we learn our colours, numbers and animals in French. The children continue to learn French throughout the school.
