Clubs and Activities The staff at Woburn Lower School aim to provide a range of in-school and after school clubs and activities to enrich the curriculum. Some are provided by teaching staff and others by outside specialists.
The P.T.A. also host craft clubs periodically through the year to prepare for seasonal events such as Christmas and The Easter Bonnet Parade. These clubs usually run until 4:45pm and sometimes include food and drink for the children.
Some of our school clubs are free but others require payment to cover either cost of materials or the employment of outside specialists. Many of these clubs require a minimum number of children in order for them to run. Please ensure that when information is sent about new clubs you do register your child’s interest as often clubs have had to be cancelled due to lack of interest which is a real shame for the children.
After School Care
If you will be requiring after school care in addition to the clubs, the school runs an after school club from 3.30-4.30, the cost is £5. Parents are required to book on the Monday for that week.
Before School - Early Birds Club
We now run a before-school club which runs from 8:15am every morning. If you wish your child to attend Early Birds then you need to let Jenny know in the school office and provide the £2.00 (from 8:15) or £1.50 (from 8:30) per session in advance. If necessary, you may bring money with you on the morning you wish your child to attend but you must pay before, and not after your child attends. Children must be brought to the library and signed in by their parent.
