Woburn Lower School

Woburn Lower School PTA is a group of mums and dads who work enthusiastically to organise both social and fundraising events for the school.

A selection of the events run throughout the year are:

• An Easter craft session for the children, making cards, cakes and decorating hats for the school assembly Easter Bonnet parade;
• A Quiz Night for parents, staff and friends of the school;
• Running a children’s area at the Woburn Oyster Festival, selling cakes made by the PTA, crafts made by the children and providing games and face painting for the children;
• Organising refreshments during the annual “Carols on the Cobbles” in Woburn village.

Funds raised have been used to pay for various improvements to the school and toys and equipment for the children.

We meet monthly, alternately on Friday mornings at school and Tuesday evenings at the Inn at Woburn.  Meeting dates are posted in the notice-board in the school playground.  Everyone is welcome to join our meetings which are very informal and we are always looking for fresh ideas.

Meeting dates may move from time to time and additional meetings may occasionally be added, but as much notice as possible will be given.
